I don’t like to play this game because I’ve spent hundreds of dollars when I was younger on that game. At the end of it, I was banned for no specific reasons and hence, the money I’ve spent was gone to waste. (Though, it was already wasted when I spend money on it).
The company of the game should better manage their players and ensure everything is going smoothly and provide reasons/proof if a player gets banned. The game is a online game and players get to interact with one another in a place called the HabboHotel.
HabooHotel has it’s hotel facilities just like a real hotel. However, the facilities don’t work the same as the real hotel hence its a dummy place. Also, players have to purchase ‘credits’, money form for the hotel to buy furniture which they call it ‘Furni’
The game suits all ages from 12 and older but there are players which are younger than that age. This endangers younger players as they might get addicted to the game and spend money like I do, which i REGRETTED IT NOW.
Buying Furni also increases the status of the player. Meaning, a player with no ‘credits’, he/she is a nobody in the game while a player with a lot of ‘credits’, he/she is labelled ‘popular’. Hence, the players were mainly judge by popularity and not their personality which i think it’s RIDICULOUS.
The staff in the game also organize competitions, but to join it, you HAVE TO PAY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GAME. AND ALSO, A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PLAYERS WILL WIN. So for those who lost/didn’t win, they basically just wasted their money on these CREDITS/COMPETITION.
Though they disable the use of vulgarities to suit the age of the game, there are still players who uses such language and the rule was not strictly obeyed or no punishment will be given to those who uses them.
To add on, there are a lot of scammers/hackers around the game. And underage players are vulnerable and fall victim to these people. Hence, it is not a 100% safe game for players. This will bring up problems such as cyberbullying, sex predators, etc.
Despite many upgrades or improvements in the game. The role of the game is still the same - to socialise. The game is well in upholding the role of it’s game but the use of real money to buy ‘Furni’ is seriously ridiculous as it serves no purpose. This game is addictive and once players start to buy these ‘credits’, they tend to buy more and addiction occurs.
The staffs in the game doesn’t care if the players are overspending their money/allowances for the game itself though they know that these players are at a young age, (10-16) and these money mostly from their allowance. These credit ranges from $4.50 to $60 and thats about 50credits for 60dollars? Yes, it’s not worth it. And the cheapest ‘Furni’ costs about 1 credit = a few cents?
Improvements can be made if these ‘Furni’ were to be free for all. And to earn a little bit of money, staff can impose a membership for players and these players will have to pay a small sum of money to gain access to further ‘Furni’ probably a more rarer type or grand types. But still, the price of the ‘Furni’ is still the same - Free. This would probably gather in more players into the game. Though it’s available WORLDWIDE, there are less than about 5000 players in the game which are active now.
Still, i hate this game. >:(
